Frequently Asked Questions

How to prepare for Lash Lifts?

  • Arrive Makeup-Free: Do not wear mascara, eyeliner, or eyeshadow on the day of your appointment. Leftover residue creates a barrier that prevents the perming solutions from processing evenly.
  • Remove Contact Lenses: Take out contact lenses before the treatment begins and wear glasses to your appointment instead.
  • Skip Waterproof Mascara & Oils: Avoid waterproof mascara and oil-based eye creams or makeup removers for 48 hours prior to your treatment. Oils can leave a stubborn film that ruins the curl.
  • Avoid Caffeine: Skip that morning cup of coffee or energy drink. Stimulants can cause your eyes to flutter or twitch, which makes it harder for your technician to work precisely.
  • Skip the Eyelash Curler: Do not curl your natural lashes for at least 24 hours before your service to preserve their natural shape and elasticity.
  • Shower and Exercise Beforehand: You will not be allowed to get your lashes wet or subject them to steam or sweat for the first 24 to 48 hours after your lift. Take a shower and get your workout in before you arrive.
  • Reschedule if Irritated: If you have an active eye infection (like pink eye) or any irritation along the lash line, wait until it has completely cleared.
  • Communicate Sensitivities: Mention any allergies, particularly to hair dyes or perming solutions, to your technician during your consultation.

How to prepare for Brow Laminations?

  • Grow Out Your Brows: Stop tweezing, waxing, and threading for at least 1 to 2 weeks before your appointment so your technician has plenty of natural hair to shape.
  • Skip Retinol and Exfoliants: Avoid using AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, and strong chemical peels on your face for 5 to 7 days leading up to your session to prevent skin sensitivity.
  • Avoid Tanning: Do not get a facial, chemical peel, or use tanning beds right before the treatment.
  • Do a Patch Test: If you have ultra-sensitive skin or are prone to contact dermatitis, request a patch test with your brow technician 24 to 48 hours in advance.
  • Shower Beforehand: Because you must keep your brows strictly dry for the first 24 to 48 hours post-treatment, take a shower and wash your hair beforehand.

On the Day of Treatment:
  • Arrive Makeup-Free: Ensure your brow area and the surrounding skin are entirely clean and free of makeup.
  • Skip Heavy Skincare: Do not apply heavy moisturizers, facial oils, or heavy sunscreens on or around your eyebrows, as oils can block the lifting solution.

How to prepare for a Brow Tattoo?

  • NO CAFFEINE or alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment - this includes your morning coee (even decaf), tea, kombucha, matcha, chai, sodas, as well as beer, wine, hard liquor, etc. the afternoon and night before your appointment.
  • No fish oil, magnesium, anticoagulants or blood thinning drugs 4 days prior to your appointment - this includes ibuprofen, Advil, or similar.
  • Do not receive any injections, or advanced exfoliation services 2 weeks prior (and 4 weeks after) your appointment - this includes botox/filler, laser treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc.

How to prepare for Lash extensions?

  • Arrive completely makeup-free: Thoroughly wash your face and eyes to remove all traces of mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. Any leftover oils will prevent the glue from bonding.
  • Skip the caffeine: Avoid coffee or energy drinks on the day of your appointment. Caffeine causes the eyelids to flutter, making it much harder for your lash artist to apply the extensions precisely.
  • Shower beforehand: You will need to keep your new lashes completely dry for the first 24 to 48 hours, so get your washing done before you come in.
  • Remove contacts: Take out your contact lenses before the appointment and wear glasses instead to prevent any discomfort or trapped solution.
  • Avoid oily products: For 48 hours leading up to your appointment, skip heavy eye creams, serums, and oil-based cleansers.
  • Dress for a nap: You'll be lying still with your eyes closed for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, so wear comfortable clothing and bring along headphones if you want to listen to a podcast.

How to prepare for a Facial?

3-5 Days Before
  • Stop harsh products: Avoid using retinoids, glycolic or salicylic acid peels, and facial scrubs to prevent skin sensitivity.
Skip waxing/laser: Refrain from waxing or undergoing laser treatments in the treatment area, as these make the skin highly reactive.
    24-48 Hours Before
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help plump and hydrate your skin from the inside out.
  • Avoid new products: Do not introduce any new skincare products or treatments to prevent unexpected allergic reactions.
Reschedule if sick: If you have an active cold sore, severe acne flare-up, or contagious illness, reschedule your appointment to avoid spreading bacteria or irritating your skin further.
    The Day of Your Appointment
  • Skip heavy makeup: Arrive with a clean face, or wear minimal makeup so your aesthetician can easily assess your skin type.
  • Shave (if applicable): If you are a man or prefer facial shaving, do it at least 24 hours before your facial to avoid razor burn on freshly exfoliated skin.
  • Come prepared: Know your current skincare routine and the products you use regularly. Be ready to discuss your skin concerns and goals with your aesthetician.
